What are the dates of the Maryland State Fair?

Get ready to chow down on funnel cakes, meet farm animals and take a spin on carnival rides. The 2022 Maryland State Fair will be held over three weekends: Aug.25-28, Sept.1-5 (Labor Day weekend) and Sept.8-11. The fair will be held at the Maryland State Fair and Timonium Fairgrounds in the Timonium-Lutherville area.

That’s about a one-hour, 10-minute drive from downtown Washington, D.C. Gates will open at 5 p.m. each Thursday of the fair. The fair hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday (Sept.5). There will be a Kiddie Land with rides for younger children and Deggeller Attractions midway for thrill-seekers.

Passengers from Downtown Baltimore can use the CityLink Red located at Baltimore and Green streets to Lutherville Light Rail stop, and transfer to LocalLink 93. Travelers from the north can take Light Rail from Hunt Valley or the LocalLink 93 line, which originates at International Circle in Hunt Valley.

• Passengers can use LocalLink 52 from North Avenue to Macy’s Store on Dulaney Valley Road and transfer to LocalLink 93.

There is sewer, water and electric available during the summer months, and because we winterize everything during the winter water will not be available during the winter season. Fairgoers are strongly encouraged to use the Light Rail or other forms of public transportation. Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $3. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road, West of the Fairgrounds.

How long is the MD State Fair?

Directions The Maryland State Fairgrounds are located near the intersection of York and Timonium Roads, Timonium, MD : (2200 York Road, Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093), Vehicle access gates are located on York Road between Padonia and Timonium Roads and on Timonium Road about 1/4 mile east of Interstate 83 and just past the Light Rail tracks.

Vehicles can enter using either of these gates without restrictions at Fairground events during most of the year. From Interstate 83 North Take Exit 17, Padonia Road, East to York Road, continue South on York Road to the Fairgrounds entrance on the right. or Take Exit 16A, Timonium Road, East toward Fairgrounds.

NOTE: During the Maryland State Fair there is a minimal fee for parking on the fairgrounds. LEAVE THE DRIVING TO MTA: The Timonium Light Rail Stop is located a short walk from the entrance to the Fairgrounds near the Cow Palace.

The MTA No.93 bus line also serves the Timonium Park and Ride/Light Rail Stop. Because convenient parking is limited, use of the Light Rail or the No.93 bus line is encouraged. Leash Laws in Maryland – Leash laws require owners to keep dogs and other pets on a leash when they are in public. The laws are different in each state. Some states, like Maryland, don’t have statewide regulations. Instead, counties have the power to make their own leash laws.

Post Time 12:40PM. PARKING: Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $15. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road west of the Fairgrounds. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available. Because convenient parking is limited, we encourage the use of the Light Rail. UBER/LYFT drop off and pick up location is on the Deerco Road Park and Ride Lot. Patrons may then enter the fairgrounds through the Light Rail admission gate. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Fairgoers can ride Light RailLink to the “Fairgrounds” station, or the LocalLink 93 busline to the Fairgrounds Park & Ride, located on Greenspring Drive.

The Fairgrounds entrance gate, near the Cow Palace, is just a short walk from both services. Because convenient parking is limited, use of the public transit is encouraged. WHEELCHAIR RENTALS: TBA. HAND WASHING STATIONS: Hand washing stations are set-up throughout the fairgrounds for you and your family’s convenience.

Make sure that once you and your family are finished visiting the animals that they make good use of the hand washing stations!
