So you have a traveler in your family....there's always one, right? Whether they're taking the country by storm via motorcycle, backpacking through all the National Parks, or like us, living in an RV on the road full-time, it's all the same. Once a nomad, always a nomad, and perhaps this makes shopping for said traveler very difficult.
It's not only difficult in the fact that really, what the heck do you get the guy/girl who gets to travel the country or world for a living?! But also, they simply might not have the space in their travels for more "stuff". For Vanessa and I, we have to be very particular with our holiday requests to family simply because there isn't any room.
Which brings us to problem-solving this dilemma. We created the ultimate holiday gift guide for the traveler in your tribe. A few things they might need, or want, along their way throughout their travels. Most of these products we've used personally, so you can take our word for it. Click on the photos below, and happy shopping!

Hobo HammockS

If your family member is like us and constantly on the go, then a hammock might be a great gift in order to slow their stride. What better way to relax then by harnessing up your hammock to a tree and swinging with the breeze? The thing about Hobo Hammocks that makes it such a cool product (besides the fact they come in double size and have a TON of colors) is that with every purchase of one of their hammocks, they donate one meal to feed the homeless. How awesome? We personally own a Hobo Hammock and recommend them as an incredible gift. Stay tuned for our full blog post on this brand, attached of course, with some amazing photographs. Outdoor Master 50L outdoor backpack

When Vanessa and I are backpacking, we like to keep it light. Mainly because we take long day hikes and don't need to carry any unnecessary weight on us. But having the right backpack is very important for a traveler. The Outdoor Master is reasonably priced as far as hiking packs go, plus they come in a variety of colors to choose from. Thick straps make it a comfortable fit, not to mention this bad boy is water resistant. Click below to shop.

High Sierra Wave 50 Hydration Pack

Speaking of backpacks, an amazing gift for the traveler in your family would be a water pack. I can't begin to tell you how many times our water pack from High Sierra has saved our thirsty butts. It's lightweight and easy to carry, plus you don't have to bring along a bulky water bottle with you. Vanessa and I try to canyon run when we can and our High Sierra water pack makes that extremely easy to do. Click below to shop.

no Drought Dry Shampoo by lush

One of those products that we just can't live without while we're living in an RV is dry shampoo. There are so many times that you are without the possibility of a shower, especially when off adventuring in the wilderness, and you just need a quick freshen up. The No Drought by LUSH cosmetics is our favorite because it smells sweetly like grapefruit and works wonders on your scalp. However, the most important part when we choose beauty products is that they do not test on animals and LUSH Cosmetics is 100% cruelty free. WOOHOO! Click below to shop.

Kind Bars

We <3 KIND bars. Can't get enough of 'em. They make a perfect gift for the traveler in your life. It's easy when you're out on the road, or out in the wild to just pop open a bar and keep your energy up. KIND bars in particular are  great source of fiber, with no hydrogenated oils or trans fats. Vanessa and I have boxes of these in our RV and they satisfy our hunger while leveling up our nutrition. Did you know these specific Almond & Coconut bars are also vegan?! Click below to shop.

RBX Weighted jump rope & Spri 12lb kettle bell

It's really important during travel to stay exercising, even through those lulls where there isn't much to do. While we're traveling in our RV sometimes we don't have an opportunity to stop and hike or go for a long run. This is why it's really important to have a few exercise items on deck. First, a jump rope. The weighted one by RBX (which we use personally) is an easy fix to your cardio dilemmas. It's got weighted handles for an added bonus, plus a tight grip and sleek style. Did you know that you'd have to run an eight-minute mile to work off more calories than you'd burn jumping rope? Boom.

Now a kettle bell may just be useful for people traveling by car, RV, or other vehicle. I doubt someone backpacking Europe would want to lug this thing around. BUT, there are so many different weight resistant moves you can incorporate to get a full body workout while on the road. Just ask Vanessa, the kettle bell squat champion. Click below to shop.

Saucony Women's Performance Socks

I can't tell you what a mistake it was to think that when you're out traveling and hiking and canyon running any old socks will do. Not the case, my friends. My heels were torn up from not having a decent sock to keep protected. The Saucony Performance Sock line are a great solution. They are no show, arch-strip socks which provide added stability on the heel and do not bunch up or slouch down when running. They also come in a few different colors if you're not feeling so vibrant. Click below to shop.

Sandistore Waterproof pedometer

This is a perfect stocking stuffer gift for your traveler. It's under $5, which is sensational, but also provides more than just a step counter. It also measures distance and calories. You can clip it onto your belt or backpack and keep running tabs on your bod. Set a goal of 10,000 steps per day and don't stop until you hit it! Click below to shop!

moleskine cahier journal

I love Moleskine journals. I always have. They are so compact and flexible, perfect to fit into a pocket or small pouch, and they are very durable. You can snag a set of three journals which should last your favorite traveler a very long time on the road. Make sure they're documenting their adventures in order to share with you at your next holiday gathering. Click below to shop.

So there you have it. Ten suggestions for the ultimate holiday gifts for your traveler. We probably could go on and on with things necessary on the road. But, holiday's coming and we need to get to shoppin!

Happy Holidays to you and yours from The Roamans.
